About the Role

Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at Hollenbeck Palms. The ideal candidate will have a valid RN license and extensive experience in providing senior care, long term care, medication administration, IV therapy and first aid/CPR training. In this role you will provide direct nursing services such as assessment of health status, implementation of resident care plans and monitoring changes in condition for residents living in our 59-Bed Skilled Nursing Facility.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer medications according to physician’s orders and document appropriately.  
  • Assess residents’ conditions by performing physical exams and ordering/interpreting lab work results.  
  • Provide individualized patient-centered nursing care based on the latest evidence-based practice guidelines  
  • Update treatment plans regularly to ensure they meet current standards of practice   
  • Implement infection control protocols with regard to staff safety as well as resident comfort & safety

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Valid RN licensure from the appropriate state board 
  • At least two years prior experience providing senior care within a healthcare setting required; Long Term Care preferred.  
  • Medical Administration Experience ( eMAR by PCC) 
  • Current certification in First Aid/CPR required.    
  • Hospital & Fire Life Safety Card
  • Demonstrated ability to assess patient needs accurately.
