Whirlwind Steel is a manufacturer of pre-engineered metal buildings and metal building components for the agricultural, commercial, governmental, industrial, institutional, residential, and self-storage markets. Originally founded as a power fan and louver company in 1955, Whirlwind has become one of the largest metal building manufacturers in the industry and currently operates two manufacturing facilities in Texas and Georgia, with a combined size of over 500,000 square feet.

Whirlwind Steel builds and delivers metal structures used by people and businesses every day. As a Production Helper, you'll be part of the team that turns raw materials into the parts that make those buildings possible.


You'll work alongside experienced team members, help keep production moving, and learn different parts of the manufacturing process along the way. If you're dependable, hands-on, willing to learn, and enjoy staying busy, this could be a great opportunity to grow with Whirlwind Steel.


Schedule: Monday - Friday, starting at 6:00 AM; end time varies based on workload, typically between 4:30 - 6:00 PM. Occasional weekends may be required based on business needs.

Requirements

  • Basic math skills and ability to use/read measurements
  • Ability to follow instructions and work well with a team
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Comfortable working on your feet and in an active manufacturing environment
  • Ability to lift and move heavy materials as needed
  • Overhead crane experience is a plus
  • Manufacturing or warehouse experience is a plus, but not required
  • Willingness to learn new tasks and work with different equipment
