I. Position Information
Title: Admissions Student Ambassador
Division/Office: Office of Admissions
Status: Part Time, Non-Exempt, Student Worker
II. Position Summary
Chaminade University of Honolulu’s Admissions Student Ambassador Program is a leadership program that offers students the opportunity to play a key role in the recruitment process. Admissions Student Ambassadors play a vital role in recruiting future Silverswords. As the front line for the Office of Admissions, you will educate visitors about the history, traditions, and life at Chaminade University of Honolulu. Ambassadors will also work with the various platforms involved in the admissions process (e.g., Slate, Colleague, Google).

Direct Report to: Admissions and Campus Tour Specialist
IV. Duties and Responsibilities
Recruitment (55%)
- Lead dynamic campus tours, VIP tours
- Establish and maintain relationships with prospective students and their families
- Represent Chaminade at virtual and on- and off-campus events
- Conduct calling campaigns, social media campaigns
- Assist during campus and off-campus events as needed
- Silversword Shadow Program
- Facilitate opportunities for admitted and deposited students to experience and engage with the university’s campus culture and student life through class shadowing, dining experiences, and campus activities.
Operations (35%)
- Correspond with students via email and phone
- Prepare Promotional Item Request packages for prospective students
- Prepare recruitment material for Counselors
- Create and mail out acceptance packages
- Perform audits on the Slate platform
- Input student data
- Maintain an inventory of the office space

VI. Education and Experience
Minimum Education
Must be a full-time Day Undergraduate student at Chaminade University of Honolulu.
Preferred Qualifications
Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.5; 3.0 is preferred.
Experience and Skills
- Maintain professionalism at all times
- Must possess excellent verbal and electronic communication skills
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, Google platforms, Canva, etc.
- Must be able to adapt and work in changing environments, tasks, and situations
VII. Physical Requirements
Duties involve light work in an office and community setting and requires a minimum of physical effort with intermittent sitting, standing, climbing stairs, and walking inclines. Must be able to lift 20 pounds, walk the campus with ease, and have excellent motor skills. Must have finger dexterity. Must be able to communicate information and ideas so that others will understand.
VIII. Other Requirements
- This is a part time and non-exempt Student Worker position. Depending on the project cycles and workflow demands of the department, additional hours or workday schedule changes may be occasionally required. Must be willing and able to work occasional nights and weekends and have a varying schedule, as events can take place outside of office hours, on Saturdays and Sundays, and throughout the evening
- Performs such similar, comparable or related duties as may be assigned or required
- Observes all safety and health regulations and works in accordance with safe work procedures and policies of the University. Reports unsafe acts/conditions and injuries in a timely and proper manner
