McIver Clinic has been a trusted leader in urological care in Jacksonville since 1921. With multiple locations throughout the greater Jacksonville area and more than 27 providers, we deliver compassionate, patient-centered care across the full spectrum of urology, from minimally invasive procedures to complex surgery and oncology. 


We are seeking a dependable, organized, and patient-focused New Patient Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate provides exceptional customer service, demonstrates strong attention to detail, effectively manages a high volume of referrals and scheduling needs, and works collaboratively with patients, providers, and staff to ensure a seamless experience from referral to appointment. 


Essential Job Functions:

  • Answer a high volume of incoming calls and coordinate patient appointments
  • Process new patient referrals by accurately entering demographics, diagnoses, authorizations, and other required information
  • Schedule, reschedule, and coordinate patient appointments based on provider and patient needs
  • Greet patients and assist with scheduling and registration needs
  • Collect and verify patient demographic and insurance information
  • Contact patients when appointments need to be rescheduled or additional information is required
  • Answer patient questions and provide accurate information regarding appointments and office procedures
  • Direct calls to the appropriate departments and relay messages to staff as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records
  • Protect patient privacy and maintain strict confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA requirements
  • Provide professional, courteous, and compassionate service to patients, providers, and staff

Requirements

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (Required)

Experience:

  • Medical Office: 1+ year (Required)
  • Customer Service: 1+ year (Required)
  • Computer Skills: 3+ years (Preferred)
