Job Description
We are looking for a Senior Murex Developer to join a technically demanding financial services project within an international environment.
You will work across the Murex MX.3 technical landscape, with a strong focus on Datamart, batch processing, EOD operations, platform management, and market data services. The position combines hands-on technical delivery with production support, requirement gathering, vendor coordination, and communication with business and functional teams.
Knowledge of the Murex MRB and Full Revaluation ecosystem will be particularly valuable, including VaR processing, scenario management, automated runs, and module support.
What you will do
- Manage Murex MX.3 environments, including installations, upgrades, binary deployments, patches, and service administration.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and support Murex services, application menus, technical components, and logs.
- Maintain and improve EOD processes, batch chains, and processing scripts.
- Develop and support Murex Datamart components, including extractions and feeders.
- Support MDRS and market data processes within the Murex ecosystem.
- Analyse incidents across application, database, batch, integration, and infrastructure layers.
- Develop and maintain Shell scripts and SQL components.
- Gather requirements and translate operational or business needs into appropriate technical solutions.
- Collaborate with business users, functional consultants, production support teams, infrastructure teams, and other technical stakeholders.
- Communicate with the Murex vendor and manage technical cases through PEGA.
- Contribute to production stability, root cause analysis, operational documentation, and technical best practices.
- Support MRB and Full Revaluation activities where applicable, including installations, scenario management, runs, exports, VaR calculations, and Ant-based automation.
- Provide technical guidance and share Murex knowledge with other members of the team.
Qualifications
Required:
- At least three years of hands-on experience as a Murex developer or technical Murex specialist.
- Strong knowledge of Murex Datamart, extractions, feeders, and related technical processes.
- Practical experience managing MX.3 environments.
- Experience with Murex installations and upgrades, including binaries and patches.
- Experience managing and troubleshooting Murex services, standard menus, and application logs.
- Strong knowledge of EOD processes, batch execution, and processing scripts.
- Experience working with MDRS or Murex market data components.
- Hands-on Shell scripting and SQL development experience.
- Basic capital markets knowledge and the ability to communicate effectively with business users and functional teams.
- Experience gathering requirements and supporting technical or production issues.
- Experience communicating with Murex as a vendor, ideally through PEGA case management.
- English at C1 level or above.
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of the Murex MRB or Full Revaluation module.
- Understanding of Value at Risk concepts and VaR calculations in Murex.
- Experience performing a complete MRB module installation.
- Knowledge of MRB menus, services, and technical operation.
- Experience with scenario containers and scenario imports.
- Experience executing runs, exports, and VaR calculations.
- Experience configuring Ant scripts and automated MRB executions.
- Experience supporting incidents or requests related to MRB or Full Revaluation.
- Spanish language skills.
