Job Description

We're looking for a highly organised and commercially minded Event Planning Manager to join our Events by Benugo team at the iconic BFI Southbank.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering exceptional events at one of London's leading cultural venues. You'll be responsible for managing events from contract through to delivery, ensuring clients receive a seamless experience while working closely with Sales, Operations, Kitchen teams and external suppliers to bring a wide range of events to life.

As the main point of contact throughout the planning process, you'll combine outstanding attention to detail, strong client management skills and commercial awareness to deliver memorable events and drive revenue opportunities.

Salary: £34,000 - £36,000 per annum (depending on experience) + commission following successful completion of probation

Contract: Full Time, Permanent

Location: BFI Southbank, London

Working Pattern: 5 days over 7, including occasional evenings and weekends in line with business and event requirements.

About the Event Planning Manager role:

  • Manage events from contract through to delivery, ensuring all client requirements are captured and executed to a high standard.
  • Plan and coordinate a diverse range of events, delivering exceptional client experiences and operational excellence.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact throughout the planning process.
  • Produce detailed event documentation, including function sheets, operational briefs and event timelines.
  • Coordinate logistics with venue operations, kitchen teams and external suppliers to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Support the achievement of revenue targets by identifying and maximising upselling opportunities.
  • Accurately interpret event contracts and proposals, ensuring commitments are delivered effectively.
  • Attend planning meetings, event briefings, site visits, show-arounds and menu tastings.
  • Maintain accurate event records and client information within Tripleseat CRM.
  • Work closely with the Sales team to support client retention, repeat business and excellent customer service.
  • Monitor planning processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Support Event Sales with enquiries, client communication, contracting and invoicing where required.
  • Represent Events by Benugo professionally with clients, venue partners and industry contacts.

About the ideal candidate:

  • Previous experience in an Event Planning Manager, Event Manager or similar role within hospitality, catering, venues or events.
  • Strong experience managing events from enquiry or contract stage through to successful delivery.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and experience producing high-quality event documentation.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with confidence working with clients and operational teams.
  • Commercially aware, with experience identifying upselling opportunities and supporting revenue growth.
  • Experience using CRM systems, ideally Tripleseat or similar event management software.
  • Able to build effective relationships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Passionate about delivering outstanding events and memorable guest experiences.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with a willingness to support events outside of standard business hours when required.
