About the Role
Description
Hammond Lumber Company, voted 2025's Best Places to work in Maine, is seeking an experienced log scaler for our Belgrade, Maine location.
Log Scaler Job Responsibilities
- Log scaler responsibilities include but are not limited to scaling, running a de-barker and trim saw, and unloading and stacking material
- Sawmill employees are scheduled to work Monday through Thursday 6am-4:30pm and Friday 6am- Noon. No weekends!!

Requirements
- A Valid Maine Log Scaler License is preferred
- Previous log scaling experience is preferred
- Experience working in a sawmill or lumber manufacturing environment is a plus
- Forklift experience preferred
- Requires heavy lifting
