About the Role
Description
Seasonal Grain Operations
Locations: Evansville, Cottage Grove, Fall River, Burlington and Belleville WI
We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Seasonal Grain Operator to support daily grain handling operations during harvest and peak seasonal periods. This position is responsible for receiving, grading, handling, storing, and loading grain while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, unload, and load grain from trucks and railcars.
- Operate grain handling equipment, including conveyors, legs, augers, and related machinery.
- Assist with grain sampling, grading, and quality control procedures.
- Monitor grain conditions and storage facilities.
- Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance of equipment and facilities.
- Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and operational procedures.
- Accurately complete required documentation and records.
- Assist with additional operations and facility tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Ability to work extended hours, weekends, holidays, and overtime during peak harvest seasons.
- Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to climb ladders, work at heights, and in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred
- Previous grain handling, agriculture, manufacturing, or equipment operation experience.
- Mechanical aptitude and basic maintenance skills.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, climbing, and lifting.
- Ability to work in dusty environments and varying outdoor weather conditions.
- Ability to safely work at elevated heights and around moving equipment.
