Bruce Community Living Center is looking for a Medical Records Specialist to join our growing team!

Details: 

Monday-Friday schedule, 8am to 5pm 


Medical Records Director duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintain all medical records in accordance with federal, state, local, and company policies and procedures.
  • Provide daily reports during clinical stand-up meetings, including past-due forms, clinical alerts, physician orders, admissions, discharges, and other pertinent information.
  • Establish and maintain resident medical records in both electronic and paper formats as required.
  • Collect information from nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare professionals and ensure records are updated accurately.
  • Audit medical records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with company policies and state regulations.
  • Assist the nursing department with administrative support, audits, and educational initiatives.
  • Ensure resident information is maintained securely and confidentially.
  • Monitor documentation processes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in electronic medical record systems and related software.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to support quality resident care.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of Long-Term Care experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required
