Position Summary:

The Senior Equity Research Analyst is responsible for expanding coverage of the IT hardware, semiconductor, and/or adjacent technology sectors. Working in collaboration with our semiconductor analyst, you will publish research reports, provide investment recommendations on U.S. equities to institutional investors globally, with a primary focus on investors in Asia, as well as to retail investors in Japan, meet with clients, and play a key role in corporate access initiatives, including non-deal roadshows in Asia and investor group calls.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with our analyst covering the IT hardware and semiconductor sector to expand our AI hardware research and corporate access franchise.
  • Initiate coverage of high-demand adjacent stocks, publish research reports, and provide investment recommendations to investors.
  • Engage with institutional investors through in-person and virtual meetings, marketing trips, webinars, and responses to client requests.
  • Collaborate with the retail business team to provide U.S. equity investment ideas for retail investors in Japan.
  • Play a leading role in corporate access initiatives in collaboration with the Sales and Corporate Access teams, including non-deal roadshows, investor group calls, and meetings between investors and coverage companies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in sell-side equity research focused on the technology sector.
  • Series 7, 63, 87, and either Series 86 or a CFA exemption required.
  • Buy-side equity research or investor relations experience is also welcome. 
  • Solid foundation in financial analysis and valuation of publicly listed companies. 
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time, as required.
