About the Role

About the role

As renewable energy reshapes the global power system, batteries are taking center stage. Making them safe, reliable, and bankable at scale is a defining challenge of the energy transition. At TWAICE, our software turns battery data into insights - so decisions are made with confidence, not guesswork.

We're accelerating the transition into a new energy era and we're looking for those who want to move fast with us.

As a Working Student in our Finance Team, you’ll be involved in day-to-day operations, take on real ownership, and see firsthand how decisions shape the company. You won’t just observe; you'll play an active role in keeping the business running and growing.

This position has the potential to become a permanent role upon graduation.

Working hours and days are flexible (particularly around exams). You should be available for at least 15 hours per week and be able to come into our central Munich HQ once per week - though you're welcome to come in daily if you'd like.

Your daily business will involve

  • Take the lead on parts of Accounts Payable through Spendesk for our German and US entities - checking invoices for correctness under HGB/US-GAAP, applying the correct accounts and cost centers, and preparing payments for approvals.
  • Assist with monthly closing activities by coordinating input from internal stakeholders and tax advisors - ensuring expenses are accurately recorded, supporting documentation and receipts are complete, and all required entries are properly booked and reconciled.
  • Support monthly financial reporting, including cost and budget tracking.
  • Own the documentation of how our finance processes work. Prepare guides that our auditors, tax advisors and your colleagues will rely on.
BONUS TOPICS:
  • Help manage and optimize expense management & budgets using Spendesk
  • Support Accounts Receivable, including order processing, invoicing, and revenue recognition
  • Contribute to process optimization and tool improvements within Finance

Your profile

  • Enrolled student in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a comparable field
  • Hands-on mindset: you spot what needs to be done, take ownership of it, and deliver reliable results
  • Comfortable working with financial data & spreadsheets
  • Strong communication skills: you convey information clearly and in the right level of detail for internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong interest in practical accounting work and basic knowledge of accounting principles (HGB, US-GAAP)
  • Interest in tax, cost, and budget reporting
  • Fluent in English (must-have) and German (B2 level)
  • First exposure to DATEV, QuickBooks, or Spendesk is a plus
Please consider that the requirements are not listed in order of importance, and we know it is nearly impossible to tick every box. If you can see yourself making a valuable contribution at TWAICE, we’d be delighted to receive your application regardless.

What we offer
