About the Role

Description

Earn $25–$27 / Hour + Company-Paid Benefits + Monthly Bonus Opportunities

Rotating shifts | Frac sand processing | DCS / PLC / SCADA

Some jobs you can do on autopilot. This isn't one of them.

From a single centralized control room, you'll run the plant. Screens, trends, alarms, camera feeds — you see the whole operation at once, and you're the first to know when something starts drifting. Catch it early and the plant hits its numbers. That's the job, and it matters.

We're looking for a Control Room Operator who is calm, curious, and hard to rattle — someone who reads a trend line and knows what it means before the alarm goes off. You'll work shoulder to shoulder with field operators, maintenance, shift leads, and plant management to keep production safe, steady, and on spec.

What You'll Actually Be Doing

  • Run and monitor plant processing equipment through DCS, PLC, and SCADA platforms.
  • Adjust equipment settings and process parameters to hold performance and product quality on spec.
  • Watch alarms, indicators, camera feeds, and operational trends — and respond fast when something upsets.
  • Work with field operators and maintenance to troubleshoot problems and get corrective action moving.
  • Log and report production data, downtime events, and system performance metrics.
  • Follow every safety, environmental, and operational procedure, and bring ideas to safety meetings and continuous improvement.
  • Keep shift leads and plant management in the loop on production targets, equipment performance, and anything that looks off.

What You Bring

  • High school diploma or GED; associate degree or technical certification is a plus.
  • 2+ years in a plant control room — mining, processing, oil & gas, or similar heavy industrial.
  • Hands-on experience with SCADA, DCS, or PLC control systems.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and a real understanding of how processing equipment behaves.
  • The ability to stay level-headed while several systems demand your attention at once.
  • Sharp attention to detail, solid problem-solving, and clear communication over radio and in person.

Even Better If You Have

  • Frac sand mining or bulk materials processing experience.
  • OSHA or MSHA safety training and certifications.
  • Familiarity with quality control procedures for sand products.

Schedule

Continuous operations means rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.

If you like predictable structure and steady rhythm, this schedule works well.

Pay & Benefits

  • Company-paid medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • 401(k) with company match.
  • Paid vacation and company holidays.
  • Monthly production bonus eligibility.
  • PPE reimbursement, including approved safety boots and protective equipment.
  • Real career growth with a rapidly expanding company.

The Working Environment

  • Standing, walking, climbing stairs and ladders, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling, and repetitive motions throughout the shift.
  • Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs regularly, with occasional heavier lifting using assistance or equipment.
  • Reading instructions, safety signs, and warning labels, and hearing alarms, equipment sounds, and verbal instructions in noisy areas.
  • Indoor and outdoor work in varying weather, with exposure to heat, cold, dust, fumes, loud noise, and hazardous materials.
  • Consistent use of required PPE — hard hat, gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, respirator, and more.
