Quality Manager

Description
Under the direction of the President, the Quality Manager coordinates, implements, and manages the quality assurance function (people, equipment, tasks) to the requirements of current ISO standards and the timelines of the projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities.
· Follow all company policy related to shop floor safety practices.
· Prioritize, schedule, and directly supervise the quality assurance staff to ensure the meeting or exceeding of quality specifications and standards of ISO.
· Audit, manage and take full responsibility for D&H quality systems, initiating corrective action as required.
· Develop and recommend inspection or sampling techniques for all parts at both plants, current and anything NPI.
· Assist and coordinate quality assurance projects / equipment, managing timelines, QA resources and budgets.
· Develop process control procedures ensuring production of finished products meeting quality specifications and standards.
· Develop training for and train employees in quality related practices, ISO procedures and ERP system (Epicor) requirements.
· Produce quality reports; analyze information, address and resolve problem areas.
· Develop and lead cross-functional teams to address and/or to improve the level of quality and aide in productivity such as corrective action (8D) & continuous improvements.
· Review all complaints received from customers to determine corrective action. Work with operations, engineering, customer service and purchasing as needed to provide timely response to customers.
· Oversee direct report time and attendance activities to meet the needs of production, NPI, CI & CA.

Requirements
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, customers, vendors and other employees of the organization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education Bachelor of Science or associate’s degree in technical field desired or 10-12 years of progressively responsible related experience desired; or a combination of education and experience desired.
Experience and/or Training 5-10 years of ISO, CMM and GD&T experience desired.
Licenses/Certificates ISO certified internal auditor or ability to be certified within first year of employment.
