HR Generalist

Mopec is currently seeking a Human Resource Generalist to join our HR team.
Job Summary:
The Human Resources Generalist will work as part of the human resources team supporting the HR director and all plant associates. The HR Generalist will be responsible for entering payroll data, maintaining attendance, assisting with legal compliance, onboarding, scheduling interviews, employee engagement and satisfaction, and providing support to all associates. The HR Generalist will help facilitate company events, training, and employee engagement. This is an on-site position and physical presence on the job is required at our Madison Heights, MI office.
Essential/Key Functions
- Recruiting- Recruit potential candidates including posting positions, interviewing potential candidates, creating offers, onboarding new employees and follow up after hire
- Administrative duties- Generating official internal documents such as offer letters, policies, training documentation, pulling information for legal compliance, monitoring ADP “to do” list, entering I9 information
- Employee file maintenance- Maintaining physical and digital files for employees and their documents, benefits and attendance records
- Employee Engagement- Creating employee engagement plans, getting necessary budget approval and initiating activities supporting town halls, updating surveys and participating in focus groups
- Performance Review Process Management- organize and facilitate performance review process including ensuring goals and objectives are input into ADP, tracking goal completion, and assisting with merit increase process, offering feedback to managers
- Payroll- facilitate weekly payroll utilizing ADP, print weekly reports
- Training- Coordinate and track training, deliver onboarding training, ensure training documentation is compliant with quality requirements
- Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures
- Follow all safety guidelines and operate in a safe manner
- Physical presence on the job is essential and necessary including weekends and holidays if deemed necessary by the company
- Other duties as assigned by management

Minimum (Required) Qualifications:
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field preferred
- 1-2 years manufacturing experience required
- Experience working with ADP preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Must be well organized
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must support mission and purpose of the company and be committed to professional and personal growth
- Ability to work as part of a team and interface with other departments.
- Ability to prioritize in the face of multiple tasks
