WHY DO WE NEED YOU?

Good food starts with a good cook — and that’s exactly what we’re looking for. As a Cook on our restaurant team, you’ll prepare soups, meats, vegetables, and desserts to order, following recipes with precision and plating with care. You’ll work in a fast-paced kitchen where consistency and quality matter every single service. If you take pride in your craft, keep a clean station, and can hold your own during a rush, we’d love to have you cooking with us.


WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Read menus to estimate food requirements; order food from suppliers or procure from storage as needed.
  • Adjust thermostat controls to regulate temperatures of ovens, boilers, grills, roasters, and steam kettles.
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes using kitchen utensils and equipment including blenders, grinders, slicers, and tenderizers to prepare soups, salads, gravies, desserts, sauces, and casseroles.
  • Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods to proper doneness.
  • Season food during mixing or cooking according to recipe specifications and culinary judgment.
  • Observe and test food being cooked by tasting, smelling, and checking for proper doneness.
  • Carve meat, portion food on serving plates, and add gravies, sauces, and garnishes to complete orders.
  • Return all unused food items at end of shift to designated storage areas; cover and date all perishables in compliance with food safety standards.


SKILLS & ABILITIES YOU BRING

  • Proficient use of kitchen hand tools and equipment including knives, blenders, grinders, slicers, and tenderizers.
  • Ability to read and accurately follow recipe cards and established procedures.
  • Ability to measure, cut, and prepare ingredients with precision and consistency.
  • Spatial awareness to visualize how a finished dish should look and plate accordingly.
  • Basic math skills to calculate ingredient quantities, portion sizes, and material costs.
  • Ability to accept full responsibility for the accuracy and quality of all food produced.


SCHEDULE & HOURS

This position is FULL TIME, with schedules that may vary based on business need. Flexibility to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays, may be required. Specific shift details will be discussed during the interview process.
