Description

 Service Line: Applied Behavior Analysis

Reports To: Chief Operating Officer

Location: Maui, Hawaii

Employment Type: Full-Time

Position Summary

The Regional Manager – ABA is a hybrid clinical and operational leadership position responsible for both the delivery of high-quality patient care and the performance and growth of Pediatric Therapies Hawaii’s ABA service line. The role will generally be divided approximately 50/50 between direct clinical responsibilities as a BCBA and administrative, operational, and business development responsibilities, with the balance flexing based on patient volume, staffing, and business needs. As the primary operational leader for ABA, the Regional Manager will have direct supervisory responsibility for all ABA employees, including BCBAs, RBTs, and support staff, and will be accountable for clinical quality, patient outcomes, team performance, operational execution, and service-line growth. Business development responsibilities will include referral development, building relationships with physicians and community partners, conducting outreach, advancing growth initiatives, and identifying new opportunities to expand ABA services. The Regional Manager reports directly to the COO and serves as the primary link between ABA clinical operations and the broader organizational strategy of PTH.

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improve ABA workflows, procedures, and operating standards.
  • Identify operational barriers and implement practical solutions.
  • Establish and monitor appropriate operational and clinical performance metrics.
  • Use data and performance information to identify trends, improve outcomes, and drive accountability.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure effective integration of ABA with the broader organization.
  • Ensure the ABA service line operates in accordance with applicable regulatory, payer, and organizational requirements.

Business Development & Growth

  • Develop and maintain relationships with physicians, healthcare providers, schools, community organizations, and other potential referral sources.
  • Conduct community outreach and represent Pediatric Therapies Hawaii professionally within the community.
  • Develop strategies to increase appropriate ABA referrals and strengthen referral relationships.
  • Identify opportunities to expand ABA services and improve access to care.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of growth initiatives.
  • Identify emerging opportunities, barriers, and market needs and communicate recommendations to the COO.

Leadership & Organizational Responsibilities

  • Partner directly with the COO on the development and execution of ABA service-line priorities.
  • Translate organizational objectives into clear operational priorities for the ABA team.
  • Communicate operational, clinical, staffing, and growth issues to the COO in a timely manner.
