About the Role

Description

Cozzini LLC is seeking a visionary Director/VP of Sales to lead the growth and market expansion of our food processing equipment business. This executive leader will drive sales strategy, develop key customer relationships, and identify new opportunities within the meat and protein processing industry while promoting Cozzini's innovative processing, handling, and production solutions.


The ideal candidate brings a successful track record selling capital food processing equipment, strong leadership experience, and a deep understanding of food manufacturing operations. This role will lead a high-performing sales organization, drive revenue growth, and partner with customers to deliver equipment solutions that improve productivity, food safety, product quality, and operational performance.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead customer development initiatives and drive the marketing and promotion of Cozzini's food processing equipment and solutions.
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of day-to-day sales operations, customer relationships, and sales team performance.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies, annual business plans, and revenue goals to achieve sustainable growth.
  • Drive revenue growth through direct customer engagement and effective sales leadership.
  • Expand sales across core product offerings and strategic growth markets within the food processing industry.
  • Establish clear performance expectations and accountability measures that align individual and team results with business objectives.
  • Inspire, mentor, and motivate sales team members to maximize performance and capitalize on growth opportunities.
  • Partner with customers to develop business cases, ROI analyses, and project justifications for capital equipment investments.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities while strengthening existing customer partnerships.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers through exceptional communication, responsiveness, and industry expertise.
  • Effectively manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic business environment.
  • Ensure timely completion of sales reporting, forecasting, CRM updates, and other administrative requirements.
  • Maintain responsible management of travel, entertainment, and other business-related expenses.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, operations, marketing, customer service, and executive leadership to support business objectives and customer success.
  • Represent Cozzini and Middleby professionally while adhering to all company policies and ethical business practices.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs to maintain industry, market, and product knowledge.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills, professionalism, reliability, and leadership presence.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required.
  • 8-10 years of successful capital equipment sales experience within the meat, protein, or food processing industry.
  • Proven track record of driving year-over-year sales growth and expanding market share.
  • Strong strategic planning skills with the ability to develop and execute successful business plans and growth initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple high-profile customer relationships, projects, and sales opportunities simultaneously.
  • Excellent leadership, resource management, and organizational skills.
  • Creative problem solver with the ability to identify opportunities and implement effective business solutions.
  • Advanced verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across customers, sales teams, and internal departments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Deep understanding of food processing operations, capital equipment sales cycles, and customer decision-making processes preferred.
