About the Role

Description

Position Summary:

The person who serves in this position interfaces with students on a regular basis to answer questions while maintaining excellent customer service and ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations, and ARI policies and procedures. The Funding Advisor I is a key contributor to daily operations as directed by the Accounts Receivable and Funding Supervisor. Typical duties will include interacting with students, the VA, and campus staff. 


Core Responsibilities:

The core responsibilities (essential functions) of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Counsels applicants and families on enrollment information.
  • Creates and processes all enrollment documentation.
  • Enters and updates enrollment data in the electronic Prospect Student and Tracking System.
  • Creates and maintains Google accounts for responsible campuses.
  • Assists Accounts Receivable and Funding Supervisor with finalizing rosters, cert releases, and fulfilling WIOA and/or grant provider documentation requests for responsible campuses.
  • Verifies student VA benefit eligibility prior to enrollment.
  • Certifies VA Beneficiaries in VA Enrollment Manager system.
  • Maintains student finance files.
  • Provides employment reports to grant providers per their individual requirements, if applicable.
  • Performs periodic audit of student files to ensure compliance with internal and external requirements. Follows all company policies and procedures.


Requirements

Required Skills, Abilities, and Experience:

  • Manages difficult or emotional customer situations; responds promptly to customer needs; responds to requests for assistance; meets commitments.
  • Strong communication skills required, including professional verbal and written communication and phone etiquette.
  • Solid organizational skills.
  • Maintains confidentiality. Ability to counsel students of diverse backgrounds and demographics.

Desired Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge in use of Intuit QuickBooks programs.  
  • Working knowledge of creating and executing E-docs in DocuSign.
  • Understanding of FERPA guidelines and protocols.

Education and Certification Requirements:

  1. Required: High school diploma or equivalent
  2. Preferred: Associate or bachelor’s degree desirable
  3. Required: Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and motor vehicle record check.
