Head Coach MW Swimming/Aquatics Director

Position Overview:
The Head Coach of Men's and Women's Swimming is responsible for the leadership, administration, and overall operation of the swimming program. Responsibilities include recruiting and retaining student-athletes, coaching and skill development, budget management, scheduling, equipment and facility oversight, compliance with NCAA and conference regulations, student-athlete welfare, and promoting the mission and values of Misericordia University.
In addition, the position serves as Aquatics Director and is responsible for the daily operation, management, programming, staffing, maintenance, and safety of the Anderson Center swimming pool and related aquatics activities. Will serve as the educator/trainer for mandatory CPR/AED training of athletics staff.
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university
Experience:
- One to two years previous coaching experience and/or training and competitive background indicative of the ability to coach successfully in a NCAA Division III liberal arts college environment.
- Prior successful experience in aquatics management
Work-Related Knowledge:
- Working knowledge of the NCAA rules and regulations.
- Knowledge in planning, organizing, and implementing aquatics programs.
- Working knowledge of swimming pool filters, mechanical systems and the use of chemicals for swimming pool and water chemistry.
