The Rooms Inspector helps ensure guest rooms and public areas meet company and brand cleanliness standards while supporting the Housekeeping team and providing excellent guest service.
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect guest rooms and public areas for cleanliness, condition, and brand standards.
- Coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including room assignments, inspections, and room-status updates.
- Report room discrepancies and maintenance or safety concerns.
- Maintain proper key control and guest privacy.
- Assist with inventories, supplies, ordering, and receiving as needed.
- Clean guest rooms or public areas when necessary to support operations.
- Respond promptly and professionally to guest requests.
- Ensure housekeeping procedures, safety standards, and emergency procedures are followed.
- Maintain required logs, checklists, and documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping experience in hotels, lodging, hospitals, housing, or care facilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of housekeeping procedures, sanitation, linens, supplies, and equipment.
- Strong organization, communication, and multitasking skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to learn hotel systems such as Quore and Hotel Effectiveness.
- Must meet company security clearance requirements.
Physical & Scheduling Requirements
- Ability to push/pull up to 60 lbs. and lift/carry up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, bend, reach, crawl, and kneel.
- Must have scheduling flexibility, including weekends.
- This is an on-site hotel position.
