Research Associate / Research Assistant

The Dalton laboratory relocated from the USA to the School of Biomedical Sciences, Faculty of Medicine (CU Medicine) in the Spring of 2022. The laboratory uses adult and pluripotent stem cells to understand mechanisms of cell fate determination and as a platform to develop therapeutics for metabolic disease and obesity. We are looking for highly motivated and talented scientist to fill the Research Associate or Research Assistant position.  The School of Biomedical Sciences has three major thematic research programs focusing on: (1) cancer biology and experimental therapeutics; (2) developmental and regenerative biology; and (3) neural, vascular and metabolic biology. Applicants should (i) have a Bachelor's degree (for Research Assistant) or a Master’s degree plus four years of post-qualification full-time work experience or a PhD degree (for Research Associate); and (ii) be a highly-motivated individual with proficiency in at least one of these research areas: mammalian cell culture, CRISPR-based gene editing, 3D/organoid culture, omics data analysis, mouse husbandry.

The appointee is expected to conduct research relating to human pluripotent stem cell derived organoid and developmental biology of brown adipocytes.
