Research Assistant

Applicants should have/be (i) a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Medicine or a related discipline, preferably a Master’s degree; (ii) the research skill set of primary cell culture, histology including staining and immunohistochemistry and data analysis; (iii) willing to learn new things, self-motivated, well organised, cooperative and responsible; (iv) able to work independently; and (v) good communication skills in both English and Chinese.

Duties include (a) performing research under the guidance of supervisor; (b) assisting laboratory personnel with learning new technical skills; and (c) performing any other laboratory duties as assigned by the supervisor as appropriate. On-job-training in research about tissue engineering and regenerative medicine will be provided to complement skillsets as necessary. Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for one year commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to mutual agreement.
