About the Role

Wood is recruiting a Process Engineer to join the WOOD Team under the Process Engineering department. This will give you the opportunity to work on a wide range of Wood Projects.

Responsibilities

  • Have interest in the oil / gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries.
  • Resolve specialty related engineering issues by applying accepted engineering sense, principles, codes, and standards.
  • Contribute to the technical delivery of engineering excellence through the execution of assigned scopes of work in their specific engineering discipline.
  • Assist in the development of engineering deliverables including philosophies, reports, specifications, calculations, data sheets, and technical requisitions relating to specific scopes of work.
  • Solve problems of a routine nature within clearly defined procedures and with ready access to support and guidance
  • Applies academic knowledge to project responsibilities under close supervision of more experienced technical professionals, performing routine aspects of engineering assignments requiring a knowledge of basic engineering standards using prescribed standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering.
  • Graduate / post-graduate level of understanding of Engineering Practices, Design Methods and Calculations.
  • Ability to comprehend and interpret technical information applicable to their discipline of engineering.
  • Demonstrates the application of theory in a practical context to develop engineered solutions.
  • Good communication, reporting and presentation skills including the ability to converse in the English language.
  • Strong organizational skills and provides attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated and demonstrates personal initiative.
  • Possesses integrity, strong work ethic, positive attitude, and is dependable.
  • Team player that works well and collaborates with supervisors, subordinates, peers and clients. 
  • High level of awareness and commitment to safety in all aspects of personal daily activities.
