Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Resident Engineer to join our infrastructure project management and construction management team in AlUla, Saudi Arabia. In this on-site role, you will serve as the primary technical authority and project representative, overseeing all aspects of infrastructure development from planning through completion. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to make decisive decisions in a fast-paced construction environment.

  • Oversee daily construction activities and site operations to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations
  • Conduct regular site inspections and prepare comprehensive technical reports documenting progress, issues, and corrective actions
  • Manage project schedules, timelines, and milestones while coordinating with multiple stakeholders and subcontractors
  • Monitor project budgets and costs, analyze variances, and implement cost control measures to maintain financial objectives
  • Review and approve technical documentation, drawings, and construction methodologies prior to implementation
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure project success and minimize delays
  • Maintain organized project records, including daily logs, test reports, and compliance documentation
  • Communicate effectively with project management, clients, and regulatory authorities regarding project status and performance
  • Ensure adherence to local Saudi Arabian regulations, building codes, and environmental standards
  • Coordinate quality assurance and quality control activities throughout the construction phase

Qualifications

  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in infrastructure or construction project management
  • Proven expertise in project management and construction management (PMCM) methodologies
  • Strong knowledge of infrastructure development, construction practices, and technical specifications
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools; AutoCAD experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex project data and develop effective solutions
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Experience with budget management, cost control, and financial reporting
  • Knowledge of quality assurance and quality control processes in construction
  • Familiarity with Saudi Arabian building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements is preferred
  • Project Management Professional (PMP), PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is preferred
  • Ability to work effectively in a site-based environment and manage on-site teams
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities and sound judgment in making technical decisions
