We are now looking for a suitable person to fill the following position in the Wu Jieh Yee School of Arts and Social Sciences:
The appointee will assist the Principal Investigator in the research project “AI-Supported Ethical Scenario Training for Customs Officers: A Social Learning Approach to Integrity and Professional Judgment” (Ref. No. RD/2026/1.34). The appointee will be responsible mainly for the following:
- Literature review;
- Data collection;
- Data management and analysis; and
- Any other duties as assigned by the Principal Investigator.
Candidates should possess the following qualifications, competence or experience:
- An undergraduate or postgraduate student at the university, preferably majoring in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Creative Media, or a closely related quantitative field;
- Proficiency in frontend technologies (e.g., React, Vue, HTML/CSS) and backend languages/environments (e.g., Python/Django/Node.js);
- Prior experience developing EdTech platforms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), or interactive web apps;
- Problem-solving skills: self-driven ability to debug code, optimize performance, and work independently.
Successful candidate will be appointed on a temporary part-time contract. Benefits will be provided in accordance with the statutory provisions. Successful candidate will work no more than 16.5 hours per week for the appointment period runs from Sept/Oct 2026 to Aug 2027.
