The Opportunity:

We’re looking to fill an opening for a Business Analytics Specialist to join our IT Business Analytics Team.

Reporting to the Manager, Business Analytics the Business Analytics Specialist will be instrumental in supporting the business analytics functions at Aviso Wealth. Principle responsibilities include updating and distributing Business Analytics reporting and ad-hoc data mining for analysis.

What your day looks like:

  • Business Analytics Reporting and Analysis
  • Updating and distributing established business reporting for internal and external decision makers.
  • Ad-hoc data mining for specific analysis
  • Use a balance of business knowledge and technical skills to maintain and enhance reporting and analysis for key decision makers
  • Employ light project management to oversee reporting solution development
  • Preparing, analyzing and reporting on key financial performance metrics
  • Gathering, analyzing and interpreting financial data. Compiling monthly reports for senior management

Your experience and skills:

  • Post-secondary degree in business, accounting, computer science or related field
  • Experience in the brokerage or investment management industry
  • A minimum of 3+ years of related financial analysis experience
  • Preference given to those with experience as a business intelligence developer
  • CSC is considered an asset
  • Create reporting and analysis through the use of SQL, Excel Services and Power BI
  • Be able to write relational database SQL queries
  • Advanced Excel and Power BI skills
  • Strong computer literacy with the ability to utilize and leverage various forms of related software and technology
  • Exceptional creativity, problem solving skills and flexibility
  • Excellent verbal and written communications, at both individual and group level in English and bilingual skills in French are an asset
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational and time management skills
  • Strong customer service orientation
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work independently to achieve required objectives, within company and regulatory requirements

Salary

This position is posted with an expected salary range of $83,000 - $100,000 CAD annually. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate and the requirements of the position.
