Finance Director – Sofia, Bulgaria (Relocation)

We are working with a fast-growing B2B sportsbook product company operating across multiple countries and legal entities.

We are looking for a Finance Director to take ownership of the day-to-day finance function, lead the team and work closely with the CFO.

This is a genuinely hands-on leadership role. You will manage and develop the finance team, but you will also be involved in the detail: consolidation, audits, reporting and stepping in when needed. If you want to take full ownership of a multi-entity finance operation rather than simply manage from a distance, this could be an excellent opportunity.

What you will do

• Lead, structure and develop the finance team across multiple locations

• Own month-end/year-end close, consolidation and intercompany accounting

• Oversee statutory reporting, audits and relationships with external accountants

• Manage tax, VAT, transfer pricing and regulatory requirements

• Own treasury, cash flow forecasting, banking and FX exposure

• Deliver management reporting, budgeting and rolling forecasts to the CFO and leadership team

• Oversee AR/AP, invoicing, collections and supplier payments

• Improve finance processes, controls and systems as the business continues to scale

• Work closely with Legal, HR and Commercial on finance-related matters

What we are looking for

• Strong hands-on accounting experience within a multi-entity, multi-country business

• Proven experience with consolidation, intercompany and cross-border reporting

• Broad experience across accounting, tax, treasury, reporting and AR/AP

• Experience managing and developing finance teams across locations

• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment where processes are still being built

• Experience in a B2B business, ideally with revenue-share, licensing or milestone-based commercial models

• ACCA, ACA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent practical experience

• Fluent English

• Willingness to relocate to Sofia and work fully on-site

iGaming/sportsbook or B2B supplier experience is strongly preferred, as is experience with ERP implementations, audits/due diligence and finance automation.
