Product Lead for Cloud Services

About this role
The challengeWe are looking for a Product Lead for Cloud Services to own the business and product direction of one of the foundations of Plenit: the infrastructure services our partners use to deliver technology to their customers.
This is not a traditional Product Manager role.
You will not spend most of your time managing a backlog or translating tickets for Engineering. Our engineering squads have strong technical leadership close to execution. Your job is to stay one level above and one step ahead: understand where the market is going, what our partners need, where the revenue opportunity is, what competitors are doing, and turn all of that into clear product and business priorities.
You will report directly to the CEO and act as the accountable owner for the Cloud Services business.
If the company sets a target for Cloud Services to generate a certain level of revenue, you will own the question of how we get there.
That means understanding whether the answer lies in a new product capability, a pricing change, better packaging, stronger adoption in Mexico, a competitive gap, a partner enablement problem, a reliability issue, or something we have not identified yet.
You will be highly exposed across the company and the market. You will work directly with the CEO, Sales, Partner Success, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Engineering, Infrastructure teams, country teams, and our partners.
The engineering Team Leads will stay close to the squads and execution. You will make sure they receive the right problems to solve, with the right context, priorities, business rationale, and customer understanding behind them.
To do that well, you need to genuinely understand cloud infrastructure. You do not need to be the person configuring the hypervisor, but you should be able to sit with Infrastructure and Engineering leads, discuss compute, storage, networking, virtualization, backup, provisioning or capacity, understand the trade-offs, and make sound product decisions from them.
Expected outcomes and impact
- Own the product and business strategy for Plenit’s Cloud Services portfolio, directly aligned with company strategy and revenue objectives defined with the CEO.
- Translate commercial targets into concrete product, pricing, packaging, adoption, geographic, and go-to-market initiatives.
- Understand the economics of the Cloud Services business: revenue, growth, margins, adoption, attach rates, churn, consumption, partner penetration, and profitability.
- Build and maintain a deep understanding of the cloud infrastructure market, including hyperscalers, sovereign cloud providers, regional competitors, MSP-focused platforms, and emerging infrastructure models.
- Continuously identify where Plenit should compete, where we should differentiate, and where simplicity can become a strategic advantage.
- Stay close to MSPs, ISVs, VARs, and IT resellers. Understand how they package infrastructure services, how they make money, what their customers ask for, and what stops them from growing their cloud business.
- Diagnose business performance across markets. If Cloud Services is underperforming in Spain, Mexico, or another geography, understand why and drive the right response across Product, Sales, Partner Success, Marketing, Pricing, or Operations.
- Identify and shape new Cloud Services capabilities across areas such as compute, virtualization, storage, networking, backup, disaster recovery, security, provisioning, automation, and infrastructure management.
- Define clear product bets and priorities for the engineering and infrastructure squads, ensuring teams understand the business problem and desired outcome before execution begins.
- Work closely with Engineering and Infrastructure Team Leads, who will own detailed squad-level product execution, providing them with market context, customer insight, business priorities, and clear success criteria.
- Own competitive intelligence for the Cloud Services portfolio. Understand what alternatives partners are evaluating, why we win, why we lose, and what we need to change.
- Partner with Sales and Partner Success on strategic opportunities, major partner conversations, lost deals, adoption blockers, and expansion opportunities.
- Work with Marketing and GTM teams to make sure positioning, packaging, messaging, and enablement accurately reflect the value and differentiation of the product.
- Define and track the KPIs that determine whether Cloud Services is succeeding, not only product usage, but commercial and business outcomes.
- Build business cases for major product investments and help decide where Plenit should allocate engineering and infrastructure capacity.
- Protect the simplicity of the Plenit experience. Infrastructure is inherently complex; our product should absorb that complexity rather than transfer it to our partners.
- Help move our partners from being infrastructure operators toward becoming Technology Partners for their customers.
Requirements that are important for us
Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience across Product Management, Product Strategy, Product Leadership, cloud business, or closely related roles.
- Strong professional experience in cloud infrastructure, hosting, IaaS, virtualization, data center services, infrastructure platforms, or adjacent technical products.
- Solid technical understanding of several of the following areas: virtualization, compute, storage, networking, backup, disaster recovery, infrastructure automation, provisioning, security, or cloud operations.
- Experience owning a product area beyond delivery — including market strategy, commercial performance, pricing, packaging, adoption, or revenue.
- Strong understanding of B2B technology markets and the ability to connect product decisions with commercial outcomes.
- Experience working directly with customers or partners and turning market feedback into product strategy.
- Ability to operate comfortably with senior stakeholders, including CEO-level conversations, while also earning credibility with deeply technical Engineering and Infrastructure teams.
- Strong analytical mindset. Comfortable working with revenue, margins, adoption, cohorts, churn, usage, business cases, and market data.
- Ability to identify the root cause behind a business problem instead of defaulting immediately to building another feature.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to create alignment across Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, Partner Success, Finance, and Operations.
- Fluent English and professional working Spanish.
- Willingness to travel to meet partners, teams, and customers across our markets.
Nice to have
- Previous experience working for a cloud provider, hosting company, infrastructure vendor, MSP platform, or sovereign cloud business.
- Experience working with MSPs, VARs, ISVs, IT resellers, distributors, or other companies within the IT channel.
- Experience competing against AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, OVHcloud, Hetzner, IONOS, or regional infrastructure providers.
- Experience managing products with infrastructure economics: capacity, hardware investment, utilization, margin, or cost-to-serve considerations.
- Experience with multi-tenant cloud platforms and partner or reseller business models.
- Previous ownership of a P&L, business unit, product line, revenue target, or commercial KPI.
- Experience expanding a technical product across multiple countries or markets.
- Background combining technical depth with commercial or strategic responsibility.
Why Plenit
Cloud Services is not a side product at Plenit. It is part of the infrastructure our partners build their businesses on.
You will have direct access to the CEO, strong engineering and infrastructure teams behind you, our own sovereign infrastructure, thousands of real partner workloads, and the mandate to determine how this business grows.
You will not simply inherit a roadmap and execute it.
You will be expected to understand the market, challenge assumptions, find the opportunities, make the bets, and connect product decisions directly to business outcomes.
If you understand cloud deeply enough to respect its complexity, but believe the best infrastructure products are the ones that hide that complexity from their users, we’d love to talk.
