About the Role

Ardian’s Infrastructure team is offering a graduate opportunity in the Luxembourg office to assist in the asset management of existing portfolio of investments as well as identification, analysis and execution of potential investments opportunities.

Ardian’s Infrastructure team is one of the largest and most active in Europe.

The intern will have significant responsibilities from day one. He/She will mainly work with the Infrastructure Team Director based in Luxembourg but will also be fully integrated to the rest of the team based in Paris, London, Madrid, Milan, Frankfurt, New York and Santiago de Chile.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the investment team, in particular in the financial analysis and valuation of investment opportunities, including the preparation of investment materials and financial modelling (Excel): forecasts, financial optimisation and sensitivity analyses
  • Work closely with the Luxembourg-based financing team on a range of ongoing projects, including acquisition financings and refinancings.
  • Assisting the team in responding to Limited Partners’ requests, including: i) ad-hoc analyses and clarifications, and ii) contribution to LP reporting and ongoing communication needs
  • Supporting the team in monitoring companies in which the fund has already invested and working closely with the IT department to automate and improve reporting processes and tools
  • Preparing internal reporting presentations (Boards of directors, Committees) as well as clients reporting
  • Analysis of new investment perimeters (countries, sectors) through ad-hoc reviews with a special focus on German speaking countries

This internship will provide a global view on the world of investment, asset management as well as fund management.

Required skills

The candidate should demonstrate strong analytical capabilities, intellectual rigour, and the ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, international environment. A collaborative mindset and high personal standards are essential. Key skills include:

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including financial analysis, valuation and modelling
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to produce clear, concise and high‑quality materials for internal and external stakeholders
  • Solid understanding of accounting and corporate finance principles
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel, and strong working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word
  • Strong organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams and meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail and quality, with a disciplined and rigorous approach to work
  • Proactive and team‑oriented mindset, with the ability to work effectively across functions and geographies

Profile

  • Degree either completed or due to complete from leading business school or university
  • Strong commercial understanding of Private Equity
  • At least one previous experience in one of the following areas would be highly beneficial:
    • Investment banking (M&A, Leveraged Finance or sector-focused teams such as Infrastructure, Energy)
    • Private equity
    • Transaction Services team of a leading audit firm
      Leading strategy consulting firm
  • Knowledge of fund structuring and fund vehicles would be highly valued
  • Fluency in English and French is mandatory
