Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Civil Project Engineer for a full-time, on-site opportunity in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role supports a diverse range of civil and site-development projects for residential, commercial, industrial, municipal, and institutional clients.

The Civil Project Engineer will participate across the project lifecycle from concept through construction closeout, including design, documentation, multidisciplinary coordination, construction administration, and client interaction.

COMPENSATION
• Salary up to $130,000 annually

POSITION OVERVIEW
• Work on civil and site-development projects across multiple client sectors.
• Develop complete sets of construction documents, including specifications.
• Prepare project cost estimates.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Provide construction-administration services.
• Participate in project delivery from initial concept through construction closeout.
• Interact directly with clients throughout the project lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
• Prepare civil engineering plans, construction documents, specifications, and related project documentation.
• Support site, highway, drainage, and utility design.
• Coordinate design and project requirements with multidisciplinary teams.
• Prepare cost estimates for assigned projects.
• Support construction-administration activities.
• Prepare project submissions and related documents and forms.
• Participate in board and client meetings for small- to moderate-sized projects.
• Support land-use and municipal approval processes.
• Prepare Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans.

Requirements

Requirements
• BS degree in Civil Engineering or a civil-related field REQUIRED
• 5+ years of site-development experience REQUIRED
• Site, highway, drainage, and utility design experience REQUIRED
• Experience conducting board and client meetings for small- to moderate-sized projects REQUIRED
• Experience with land-use and municipal approvals REQUIRED
• Experience preparing Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans REQUIRED
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D REQUIRED
• Experience preparing project submissions and related documents/forms REQUIRED
• Strong communication and technical-writing skills REQUIRED
• U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident work authorization REQUIRED
• Ability to work on-site in Charlotte, NC REQUIRED

Preferred
• Professional Engineer (PE) license
• Water/wastewater experience
