About the Role

CCTV TRAINEE / LABOURER – HAMILTON

START A CAREER IN A SPECIALIST INDUSTRY.

We’re looking for a reliable person to join our Hamilton team and train as a CCTV Operator.

You’ll work alongside experienced operators inspecting underground pipelines using specialist CCTV equipment. No previous CCTV experience is required – we’ll teach you the technical side of the job.

The role is hands-on and physical, with plenty of time on site. You’ll help set up equipment, prepare work areas, assist with pipeline inspections and complete general labouring tasks.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

  • Assisting with CCTV inspection of underground pipelines

  • Setting up and operating equipment under the guidance of experienced operators

  • Preparing sites and pipelines for inspection

  • Recording inspection information and learning how to identify defects

  • Completing general labouring and site support work

  • Working around roads, construction sites and other active work areas

  • Maintaining equipment and keeping vehicles and work areas tidy

  • Following safe work practices and learning industry standards

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

  • A current NZ driver's licence

  • A reliable and practical approach to work

  • Physically fit and comfortable with hands-on outdoor work

  • Good communication skills and a willingness to learn

  • Basic computer and digital skills

  • Comfortable working in dirty, wet or confined environments when required

  • A strong work ethic and commitment to safety

EXPERIENCE WITH ANY OF THE FOLLOWING IS AN ADVANTAGE:

  • STMS or traffic management

  • Drainage, civil or infrastructure work

  • CCTV, pipeline inspection or surveying

  • Operating vehicles, plant or specialist equipment

  • Construction or general labouring
