Job Description

New Product Research & Development

  • Design and formulate acrylics and rubber based novel pressure sensitive adhesives on  market needs and customer specifications.

  • Understanding on solvent, emulsion and hotmelt based pressure sensitive adhesives  

  • Drives technology innovation through idea generation, root cause analysis, effective troubleshooting, and implementing lasting corrective actions.

  • Skilled in cross-functional collaboration, clear communication, and structured data management.

  • Deep, practical understanding of key technical material properties, performance characteristics, and their critical interconnection with processing parameters, converting efficiency, and final end-use applications.

  • Maintains a proactive watch on emerging technologies, intellectual property, and market trends within the adhesive industry for  strategic planning and securing a competitive advantage.

  • Responsible for continuous productivity and efficiency improvement through digitalization and automation, artificial intelligence and machine learnings

Project Management & Execution

  • Accurate and timely management of Cost driven, Business continuity and strategic projects for AMEA region in accordance with DDOS/Stage gate processes in line with the product strategy and AOP needs till development stage.

  • Participate & conduct regular project calls with cross-functional teams & update A3 Project plans, Timelines, CTQs, Specifications, application test plans, Reports and Reviews.

  • Manage R&D process through Clarity platform including ideations to Project Develop stage

  • Smooth transition of project from Develop stage to respective team for commercialization and also participate in all meetings till the completion of the project.

  • Responsible for strategic idea generation aimed at cost mitigation and expanding the portfolio through new product development.

  • Leads and manages R&D projects, encompassing scope definition, timeline management, and seamless coordination with cross-functional teams (e.g., Procurement, Manufacturing, Marketing, R&D cost out team).

  • Communicates research outcomes effectively by documenting findings, preparing comprehensive technical reports, and clear presentation of results to stakeholders.

  • Required actions and follow current process to drive project till develop stage

Qualifications

 

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:

  • Masters degree or higher  in Chemistry or Engineering, or Polymer Sciences disciplines 

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years experience 

  • Excellent problem solving analysis and analytical skills.

  • Excellent written technical and verbal communication and presentation skills.

ASPECTS HIGHLY PREFERRED: 

  • Knowledge of polymer/rubber and allied materials.

  • KRnowledge of testing equipment.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Fluent in both spoken and written English.

  • Strong Technical report writing & Presentation skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Able to work with regional colleagues

  • Strong command of common computer software programs (i.e.Google platforms etc.).
