Who we need

Our business and team are growing. We are currently hiring wildlife service technicians in Massachusetts, looking to begin or continue a career in professional wildlife control. Qualified candidates will have skills or experience with carpentry work.

Wildlife technicians thrive on independence and enjoy occasional detective work to solve every day to intricate wildlife problems for our residential and business customers. Due to the nature of our work, candidates must be willing to work both outdoors and indoors throughout the year. Some scenarios require our service technicians to use ladders to more efficiently and effectively complete a job. Pest-End provides ladder safety training for our team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Driving company vehicle to customer locations.
  • Adequate off street parking for a commercial vehicle 
  • Meeting with customers to diagnose and explain services needed.
  • Inspecting interior and exterior of customers' properties. This position requires the use of a ladders and climbing on roofs, or entering tight places like a crawl space.
  • Capturing nuisance wildlife in a safe manner.
  • Performing basic exclusion and repair work on the areas where wildlife enter the customers' home or business.
  • Obtaining state wildlife certification
  • Obtaining state pesticide licenses to assist our Intergrated Pest Management team.
  • Maintain notes and records about customers and the services they have had.
  • Keeping an open line of communication between yourself, office staff, and managers.
  • Ability to lift 100 lbs + comfortably.

Requirements

What we require:

  • Valid driver's license with a driving record free of major incidents
  • 18 years or older
  • 2+ years of carpentry experience
  • Complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work full-time with the potential for overtime during May - September

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the team member is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, bend, kneel and crawl within tight spaces. Specific hearing and vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee may occasionally lift and/ or move up to 50 pounds. Additionally, wildlife technicians should be comfortable with ladder work and on roofs and be able to lift and maneuver up to a 40-foot ladder. Comfort level on and off three story and 12+ pitched roofs.
