Le Jardin Academy is seeking an Athletic Trainer (Regular Part-time). This position administers athletic training services in a school setting, which include, screenings, injury prevention programs, athletic consults, injury assessment, treatment and case management of injured athletes undergoing rehabilitation. Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training, completion of the Athletic Training Board of Certification (BOC) Exam, and strong interpersonal skills are required. Hours will be between 20-25 hours per week. No phone calls, please. Please submit a resume and cover letter. Salary range starting at: $28,000. (Salary is prorated to reflect part-time hours). Job Scope
This position administers athletic training services in a school setting. These services include, but are not limited to, screenings, injury prevention programs, athletic consults, injury assessment, treatment and case management of injured athletes undergoing rehabilitation. This position frequently attends practices and games for high school athletic events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Implements individualized therapeutic interventions, and monitors responses to therapy to ensure athlete’s safety. Reports progress and medical changes to parents, coach, school personnel and/or referring physician.
Provides first aid or emergency care if needed.
Educates clients, families, and coaches regarding injuries, risk factor modification, and exercise programs.
Prevents injury through the use of devices such as tape and braces, recognize and evaluate injuries, and provide emergency care and/or rehabilitation.
Other Job Duties
Performs administrative tasks such as meeting with administrative officials, keeping records and dealing with sports budgets.
Conducts injury screening clinics, educational programs, and workshops to promote safety and injury prevention.
Assist with transportation if needed .
Assist with health screening and COVID protocols if applicable.
Assists with duties as needed.
Communicates with coaches and parents to facilitate the overall effectiveness of the athletic program. Maintains appropriate relationships with athletes. Places the well-being of the athlete above winning and does not sacrifice principles to win. Demonstrates competence in the clinical domains of athletic training, which include prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation of athletic injuries. Reports to work on time and stays until completion of the practice or event. Continually strives to grow and develop professionally. Maintains accurate written records as appropriate and required.

Education/Experience
Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training
Completion of the Athletic Training Board of Certification (BOC) Exam
Must have strong interpersonal skills.
