What’s the job all about?
The Senior Portfolio Strategist is responsible for ensuring the consistency of portfolio management across the company. This individual is expected to have a forward-looking vision, anticipating long-term market movements and steering the firm’s strategies to capitalize on these trends. The role involves spearheading product and technical innovations, as well as leading strategic research initiatives to position the firm as an authority in the industry.
The essential functions of the role include, but are not limited to the following:
- Oversee and manage the firm's investment portfolios, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and market conditions.
- Conduct thorough analysis to forecast long-term market trends and adjust firm strategies and portfolio positioning accordingly.
- Develop and maintain a cohesive communication strategy across various channels, aligning messages with firm objectives and stakeholder interests.
- Engage in high-level networking to establish and nurture strategic partnerships with industry leaders, enhancing the firm's market presence.
- Innovate in product and service offerings, keeping the firm at the forefront of competitiveness and market relevance.
- Direct and lead strategic research initiatives, positioning the firm as a leading authority in the asset management sector.
Requirements
This Team Member will have:
Education: A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field is required. An MBA, CFA or CTP designation preferred.
Industry Experience: A minimum of 10 years of experience in fixed income asset management is required.
Technical Proficiency: Exceptional analytical abilities to evaluate investment opportunities and market conditions are critical. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and investment analysis software and tools is required.
Skills & Knowledge: Should have expert knowledge of the asset management business. Strong leadership skills are critical for success in this position.
Client Interaction Experience: Must possess extensive experience managing relationships with top clients.
Additional Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to influence and drive organizational change. Proven track record in developing and executing strategic plans. Proficiency in advanced analytical and financial modeling tools. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex investment strategies. Strong project management abilities and experience leading cross-functional teams. Commitment to continuous learning and professional development within the financial sector.

Salary Description:
$140,000 - $230,000 plus bonus
