About the Role

Description

Behavioral Health Technician (Part-Time)


We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Behavioral Health Technician to join our mental health team. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals receiving behavioral health services. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing supportive care in a respectful and professional manner, contributing to a positive and healing environment.


 Weekend position available:


  • Saturday & Sunday - Day shift (8am to 8pm)
  • Saturday & Sunday - Overnight shift (8pm to 8am)

 

 Below are a few job duties to expect as a Behavioral Health Tech: 

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all residents at all times.
  • Cook and serve meals. Follow the facility menu as posted.
  • Responsible for completing items listed on the facility Chore Sheet as directed by the administrator.
  • Responsible for assuring all residents are treated with dignity and respect.
  • Responsible for the supervision of all resident medication procedures. Ensure that all residents receive their proper medication at the proper time. All narcotics will be counted and documented on each shift.
  • Daily chart documentation
  • Be familiar with The Wood Group’s policy and procedures to include employee handbook.

Requirements

 

- High school diploma or equivalent; additional training or certification in behavioral health is a plus

- Previous experience in mental health, social services, or related fields preferred

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills

- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations

- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic attitude

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Basic knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices

- Flexibility to work part-time hours,  weekends required
