About the Role

 Space Tango is an innovative space technology small business based in Lexington, Ky. Space Tango's mission is to manufacture health and technology products in space that create value and transformational solutions.  Space Tango provides space-based automated facilities and payloads to support research and development and small-scale manufacturing needs of our partners and customers in the Low Earth Orbit environment and beyond.  As a leader in automated systems, Space Tango pursues pathways to on-orbit production.  Our vision is to inspire, innovate, and create a better future for humanity by utilizing the environment of space. 


The Office Manager position supports the day-to-day operation of Space Tango's Lexington office and helps create an organized, welcoming, and efficient workplace. This hands-on role coordinates facilities, vendors, office technology, employee support, internal events, and other administrative functions. 


This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, anticipates needs, follows through on details, and can shift comfortably between planned responsibilities and unexpected requests. The Office Manager will work closely with the CFO, managers, employees, and vendors. 


This is an on-site position in Lexington, Kentucky. 


Key Responsibilities 

  • Coordinate building maintenance, repairs, landlord matters, security, utilities, and other facility needs.  
  • Manage office vendors, including service coordination, contract terms, and performance.  
  • Oversee office supplies, kitchen and snack inventory, the coffee station, Friday team lunches, shared equipment, office space, and workspace setup. 
  • Coordinate employee technology orders, account requests, and equipment setup with IT support.  
  • Maintain office calendars, records, and other administrative information.  
  • Plan internal meetings, company events, and employee engagement activities.  
  • Assist with internal communications and general company announcements.  
  • Provide administrative support for human resources, business development, procurement, accounting, and other business functions as needed.  
  • Respond to general email and phone requests and route matters to the appropriate team.  
  • Support other office and administrative needs as they arise. 

Requirements

 Qualifications, Skills, and Experience 


Required: 

  • Strong organizational, communication, and Microsoft 365 skills.  
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail and consistent follow-through.  
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. 

Preferred: 

  • Experience supporting HR, recruiting, benefits, payroll, or internal communications.  
  • Experience coordinating vendors, facilities, workplace operations, or company events.  
  • Experience in a small, growing, or fast-paced company. 

Interpersonal Skills 

  • Approachable, helpful, and service-oriented.  
  • Resourceful, dependable, and comfortable taking ownership.  
  • Professional judgment and strong attention to detail.
