Systems Administrator

Description
Oregon Coast Bank is seeking a highly motivated System Administrator to support and maintain the bank's technology infrastructure while delivering exceptional service to internal customers. This position serves as a key technical resource within the IT department and bridges the gap between frontline help desk support and advanced systems engineering.

Requirements
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Infrastructure & Systems Administration
- Administer and support Windows Server environments.
- Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, and related infrastructure.
- Maintain Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, Intune, and Entra ID.
- Administer virtual server environments and associated infrastructure.
- Assist with storage, backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
- Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability and proactively resolve issues.
- Perform server maintenance, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
- Maintain accurate system configurations and technical documentation.
Technical Support
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for escalated service desk issues.
- Provide backup Tier 1 support
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system-related problems.
- Work directly with employees to resolve technology issues in a professional and timely manner.
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including account provisioning and equipment deployment.
- Mentor help desk personnel and provide technical guidance when appropriate.
Cybersecurity & Compliance
- Support cybersecurity monitoring, vulnerability management, and remediation efforts.
- Assist with endpoint security administration and security tool management.
- Participate in incident response activities and security investigations.
- Ensure systems are configured and maintained in accordance with bank policies and regulatory expectations.
- Support internal, external, and regulatory audits.
- Assist with maintaining IT procedures, standards, and security documentation.
Network & Infrastructure Support
- Assist with administration and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, including switches, wireless networking, VPN connectivity, and firewalls.
- Support telecommunications and voice systems.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers during system implementations and troubleshooting efforts.
- Participate in infrastructure projects and technology upgrades.
Backup & Disaster Recovery
- Monitor backup operations and investigate failures.
- Perform restoration testing and validation activities.
- Participate in disaster recovery exercises and business continuity planning.
- Maintain documentation related to recovery processes and procedures.
Project Participation
- Assist with implementation of new technologies and system upgrades.
- Support branch technology deployments, acquisitions, conversions, and integration activities.
- Research and recommend technology improvements that increase operational efficiency, reliability, and security.

Qualifications
Required
- Three years of experience administering enterprise IT systems.
- Experience with Microsoft Windows Server environments.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365 and Active Directory.
- Experience troubleshooting business-critical technology systems.
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
Preferred
- Experience in banking, financial services, or other regulated industries.
- Experience with virtualization platforms.
- Experience with enterprise backup and disaster recovery systems.
- Experience with endpoint management and security platforms.
- Experience administering Microsoft Entra ID and Intune.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Experience supporting cybersecurity initiatives and vulnerability management.

Working Conditions
