About the Role

Skillforce is immediately hiring experienced Industrial Maintenance Electrician for a minimum 28-day project in Richmond, VA. As an Industrial Maintenance Electrician you are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical, instrumentation, and production equipment in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment producing non-ferrous metals.

Pay: $45/hour, based on experience.

Travel & Per Diem

  • $178 per day per diem ($1,246 per week) paid for all days while traveling. 
  • When traveling, your time is compensated at your regular hourly rate
  • If traveling by personal vehicle, mileage will be reimbursed at $0.76 per mile
  • If traveling by air, the flight will be provided, with reimbursement for rental car and fuel

Schedule

  • 28-day project 
  • 7 days per week 
  • 12-hour shifts 
  • Must be available to work day or night shifts. 


Industrial Maintenance Electrician Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical and instrumentation systems on industrial production equipment. 
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment used in non-ferrous metal manufacturing. 
  • Install, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical controls and PLC systems. 
  • Rebuild and replace failed equipment components. 
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer specifications. 
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while following all safety procedures. 


Industrial Maintenance Electrician Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Strong troubleshooting experience with: 
  • Allen-Bradley PLCs 
  • Electrical controls 
  • Three-phase motors 
  • Switches, sensors, and related industrial electrical systems 
  • Ability to work extended hours, weekends, and either day or night shift.
