About the Role

Conveniently located amongst Sydney’s CBD, Darling Harbour, Darling Square and ICC precincts at Novotel Sydney Darling Square we are on the hunt for a Business Development Manager to join our Sales & Marketing team.

Job Description

Working alongside our Director of Sales and Marketing you will be drive our commercial strategies by playing a key role in growing our hotel’s corporate, leisure, group and events business.

What will you be doing:

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across corporate, leisure, group and events segments.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, corporate partners, agencies and local businesses.
  • Conduct client visits, sales calls, presentations, site inspections and networking activities.
  • Manage and grow existing accounts while actively seeking new business opportunities.
  • Contribute to achieving and exceeding revenue, occupancy and business development targets.

Qualifications

This is the perfect opportunity for a natural “hunter” — someone who thrives on building new relationships, identifying opportunities and winning new business.

What we are looking for:

  • Previous experience in business development, hotel sales or a similar commercial role.
  • Strong understanding of the hospitality and hotel market.
  • Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Confident communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
  • A proactive approach with a strong focus on identifying new opportunities.
