Business Risk Manager, Onboarding and Ongoing Due Diligence (ODD) team

Are you passionate about risk management and eager to make a real impact? Saxo Bank is seeking a Business Risk Manager to join our Onboarding and Ongoing Due Diligence (ODD) team.
About the Role
In this pivotal role, you will work closely with management colleagues to identify, assess, and manage non-financial risks, compliance matters, and audit recommendations across the Onboarding and ODD area. You will play a key role in fostering a strong risk and compliance culture, ensuring that Onboarding and ODD activities operate within the Group’s risk appetite and support Saxo’s strategic objectives.
Onboarding and ODD play a central role in safeguarding Saxo’s operations and ensuring that our processes, controls, and governance frameworks remain robust, efficient, and compliant in an increasingly complex regulatory environment. As Business Risk Manager, you will act as a trusted advisor to leaders and stakeholders, helping balance risk awareness with business objectives and operational effectiveness.
You will join the Onboarding and ODD team, collaborating with colleagues across Denmark, the Netherlands, India, and other key locations. We foster an open feedback culture and a supportive team spirit. Our environment is purpose-driven and non-hierarchical, where great ideas are always valued. From day one, you will take on significant responsibility and have the opportunity to make a real impact.
Responsibilities
Risk Management
- Identify, assess, and manage non-financial risks within Onboarding and ODD, supporting the teams in maintaining a clear understanding of the overall risk landscape and ensuring appropriate mitigation activities are in place.
Compliance & Audit
- Support the business with control activities related to risk, compliance, and audit matters.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with stakeholders across Onboarding and ODD and the wider organisation to embed risk considerations into decision-making, prioritisation, and strategic planning.
Documentation
- Drive high-quality and timely documentation of policies, procedures, work instructions, processes, capabilities, risks, and controls, ensuring transparency and consistency across ODD.
Business Continuity
- Coordinate and maintain Business Continuity Plans across ODD, ensuring plans remain effective and that relevant testing, training, and governance activities are completed.
Your Profile
You bring several years of experience in risk management, ideally within a financial institution. Experience working with operational risk, governance, controls, compliance, or audit-related activities will be considered a strong advantage.
Your strong business acumen is complemented by a commitment to continuous learning and a genuine interest in risk management and regulatory frameworks. You are analytical and solution-oriented, with the ability to navigate complexity and translate risk considerations into practical business outcomes.
You communicate with clarity and impact and are comfortable engaging with stakeholders across all levels of the organisation. You have a collaborative mindset, enjoy building strong relationships, and can influence decision-making through trust, expertise, and data-driven insights.
