Job Description

This is a true generalist partnering role supporting operational leaders across our Melbourne villages, with a particular focus on industrial relations, modern awards, employee relations, leader capability and workforce effectiveness.

As a trusted advisor to operational leaders, you'll partner closely with leaders across our Australian villages to deliver practical people solutions that support safe, compliant and high-performing operations.

Your day-to-day will include: 

  • Employee Relations and Industrial Relations advisory
  • Modern Award interpretation and application
  • Union engagement and consultation
  • Enterprise bargaining preparation and support
  • Workforce planning and organisational effectiveness
  • Leadership coaching and capability development
  • Change management and consultation
  • Compliance in regulated and award-based environments

This is a hands-on role that combines strategic partnership with day-to-day coaching, guidance and problem-solving. You'll bring confidence navigating complex workforce environments while supporting leaders to make sound people decisions that align with both business needs and employee experience.

Travel will primarily be across our Greater Melbourne villages, including Cranbourne North, Oakleigh South and Chirnside Park.

Based in our small but mighty Melbourne office, this role offers flexibility and may suit someone seeking approximately 3 days per week or reduced hours up to 30 hours per week.

Qualifications

About You: 

We are looking for a seasoned HR Business Partner with strong generalist capability to support our Australian Operations team.  You'll be a trusted advisor to leaders, bringing confidence across employee relations, industrial relations, leadership coaching and workforce initiatives. 

You’ll also bring: 

  • Demonstrated experience working either in healthcare or very complex operational business environment
  • Substantial experience operating at a senior HR/P&C Business Partner level
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation and industrial frameworks
