Senior Director, Sales & Catering Product Management & Implementation (one year onctract)

Job Summary
The Senior Director, Sales & Catering Product Management supports the development and delivery of Marriott International’s Sales & Catering product capabilities across its global portfolio of brands, particularly through the implementation and delivery of Shiji M+E in Chinese Mainland.
This role works closely with senior product leaders, technology teams, and business stakeholders to deliver features and enhancements that improve group sales, meetings, and catering operations at the property level and support the needs of above-property Sales Organizations. The Sr. Director plays a hands on role in requirements definition, delivery, implementation, and post launch optimization to ensure solutions are practical, scalable, and aligned with Marriott’s operational and brand needs.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Governance
• Review PMS-authored BRMs that were developed independently to validate
• Finalize attrition and cancellation requirements to appropriately deliver on gap analysis commitments
• Review M&E Lite capabilities to ensure non-participating S&C solution hotels have functionality needed for core capabilities
• Complete PWO closure to manage execution of agreed upon deliverables with Shiji
• Establish deployment timeline, milestones, and approach in partnership with PMS implementation teams
Conversion & Data Migration
• Conduct Siebel to Shiji M&E conversion due diligence (with Data Migration & GT)
• Author conversion requirements based on findings
• Execute conversion testing
Customer & Property Engagement
• Represent property and regional perspectives in product discussions and design decisions.
• Define role-based training approach
• Execute communications and readiness activities
• Confirm reliance on Shiji out-of-the-box materials vs. custom training (open)
Cross Functional Collaboration
• Collaborate with Global Sales, Operations, and Brand stakeholders to ensure product features align with business processes particularly when configuring Shiji M+E.
• Support change management and training activities which include aligning process changes and collaborating with L+D for appropriate user support.
Product Optimization & Performance
• Monitor product usage, adoption, and performance metrics for assigned features or capabilities.
• Identify defects, enhancement opportunities, and operational pain points.
• Support continuous improvement efforts based on user feedback and performance insights.
• Stabilize operations and monitor KPIs
• Transition to steady-state support in conjunction with Shiji deliverables
Documentation & Communication
• Create and maintain clear product documentation, release notes, and supporting materials.
• Communicate timelines, feature scope, and changes to internal stakeholders.
• Escalate risks, dependencies, and issues to senior product leaders as needed.
Qualifications
Required
• 10+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, or a relevant discipline that has utilized a S&C product.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into detailed product specifications.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem solving skills.
Preferred
• Experience supporting global or multi brand platforms.
• Familiarity with data analysis, reporting tools, or product metrics.
• Experience working in a franchised or owner operator business environment.
