About the Role
Part time position - The Environmental Services Technician will work with the Employment Services team to complete job assignments on an “as needed” basis. This can include, but is not limited to, cleaning CSS locations, cleaning locations contracted for services, and/or landscaping various CSS-owned locations
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Wipes down counters in bathrooms, kitchens, and break areas.
- Empties all trash containers and replaces trash bags.
- Cleans restrooms including toilets, sinks, bathtubs/showers, doors, etc. 4. Restocks bathroom items (toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap); reports low stock to Employment Specialists.
- Picks up trash within and around the building as needed.
- Works on black mark removal on hardwood/tiled flooring as time permits. 7. Vacuum carpets/rugs.
- Dusts furniture, appliances, fixtures, etc.
- Cleans mirrors/glass inside and outside of the buildings as needed. 10. Sweeps and mops hardwood/tiled floors in buildings.
- Polishes stainless steel surfaces.
- Inspects and cleans both the exteriors and interiors of all kitchen appliances. 13. Operates non-electric tools to aid in landscaping duties including, but not limited to, weed-pulling tools, garden shears, loppers, shovels, trowels, rakes, wheelbarrows, etc.
- Examines property for safety hazards; reports problems to the Director of Employment Services.
- Performs other related duties as required.
MINIMUM REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Commitment to providing quality services.
- Have a positive attitude while demonstrating dependability, promptness, and responsibility.
- Basic knowledge of cleaning equipment and supplies including, but not limited to, brooms, mops, vacuums, cleaning products, etc.
- Basic knowledge of landscaping/gardening tools including, but not limited to, weed-pulling tools, garden shears, loppers, shovels, trowels, rakes, wheelbarrows, etc.
- Lift 50 pounds or more on a repeated basis as required.
- Potentially bend, stoop, kneel, and twist repeatedly.
- Operate any required equipment with good dexterity.
- Traverse varying terrains and elevations.
- Work safely outdoors for extended periods under changing and extreme weather conditions (including severe heat, freezing cold, strong winds, high humidity, and various forms of precipitation).
- Periodically alternate between standing, sitting, and walking.
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalency required
Ability to pass required background and drug screenings.
