Heartline Staffing is recruiting Civil Engineering professionals for a full-time, onsite opportunity in Binghamton, New York. Candidates are being considered across multiple career levels, from junior and entry-level designers through experienced Civil Engineers, Licensed Professional Engineers and management-level professionals.

This is an opportunity to contribute to a wide range of civil engineering projects while working with project managers, engineers and clients from initial site evaluation and data gathering through engineering design, technical documentation and construction. Responsibilities and leadership scope will vary based on the candidate's experience level.

COMPENSATION
• $70,000-$105,000
• Compensation within the stated range based on candidate level and fit

CIVIL DESIGN & DRAFTING
• Create detailed engineering drawings and plans using CAD software
• Work with AutoCAD in support of civil engineering design
• Develop engineering plans for a wide range of civil projects
• Review and refine designs throughout project development

TECHNICAL ANALYSIS
• Perform engineering calculations and analysis
• Ensure designs comply with local regulations and industry standards
• Provide technical input throughout design development

PROJECT DOCUMENTATION
• Prepare technical specifications
• Prepare engineering reports
• Develop detailed cost estimates for construction projects
• Support accurate project documentation throughout the design process

SITE EVALUATION
• Conduct site visits
• Gather field data required for design development
• Support project accuracy through field evaluation and data collection

COLLABORATION
• Work with project managers, engineers and clients to understand and execute project objectives
• Participate in design reviews
• Provide technical input and support
• Communicate effectively with project stakeholders

SENIOR / MANAGEMENT-LEVEL RESPONSIBILITIES
For senior-level candidates, responsibilities may also include:
• Managing project lifecycles
• Managing project budgets
• Mentoring junior staff
• Supporting successful project delivery
• Supervising Junior Designers for Licensed / Management-level roles

Requirements

• Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related technical field REQUIRED
• Knowledge of CAD software REQUIRED
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities REQUIRED
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills REQUIRED
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and interact with project stakeholders REQUIRED
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple project deadlines simultaneously REQUIRED
• High attention to detail REQUIRED
• Ability to attend an onsite interview in Binghamton, NY REQUIRED
• Ability to work onsite in Binghamton, NY REQUIRED

PREFERRED FOR MID-TO-SENIOR LEVEL
• New York State Professional Engineer (PE) license

PREFERRED FOR LEAD / EXPERIENCED POSITIONS
• 5+ years of civil design experience or management background for lead positions
• Proficiency in advanced civil engineering modeling or surveying software
