About the Role

Description

SUMMARY

  • Responsible for maintaining production schedule, ensuring material requirements and customer needs are met. This position may require overtime to include weekends.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Respond to customer (sales) inquiries, expedite production order and incoming material.
  • Enter time sheets into ERP system daily, to track labor.
  • Coordinate pick-ups for outside services. Expedite services if necessary.
  • Review material for jobs in the job order release screen to ensure, material requirements are met for job order needs.
  • Release, kit and schedule jobs.
  • Maintain production schedule on a daily basis.
  • Order shop supplies as needed for the production floor.
  • Enter forecasts into ERP system.
  • Keep track of on-time delivery on a daily basis.
  • Update outside services log with new orders going out and completed orders coming in.
  • Performs other incidental and related duties as required and assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Requirements

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

LANGUAGE SKILLS

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

COMPUTER SKILLS

  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Spreadsheet software and Microsoft Office Word Processing software. Must have knowledge of MRP system, M2M experience helpful.
