The Archdiocese of Denver is seeking a Communications Specialist & Executive Assistant for the office of Evangelization and Family Life Ministries. You will be responsible for managing departmental communications, coordinating events and ministry initiatives, providing administrative support to the Executive Director, and advance our mission to rescue all people in Jesus Christ for the glory of the Father.

Key Responsibilities

  • Communications & Marketing: Manage departmental communications, marketing, digital content, website updates, email campaigns, registration, and print and digital materials while maintaining consistent branding and messaging in English and Spanish.
  • Mission Initiative Coordination: Lead logistics and onsite coordination for major mission initiatives, serving as the primary contact for participants, presenters, vendors, and internal partners while managing event details, budgets, and follow-up.
  • Executive Support: Provide administrative and light accounting support to the Executive Director of Mission and Evangelization, including calendar management, travel, correspondence, invoices, contracts, and proactively anticipating needs to support the Office's priorities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Be a fully initiated Catholic in the communion of the Catholic Church and intentionally living out the five precepts of the Church (CCC 2041-2043)
  • Provide administrative and light accounting support to the Executive Director. 
  • Process invoices and assist with contracts and related bookkeeping functions. 
  • Assist with calendar management, scheduling, and coordination of meetings.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements as needed.
  • Draft, prepare, and manage correspondence on behalf of the Executive Director. 
  • Develop a strong understanding of  the Executive Director's responsibilities, priorities, and ministry initiatives in order to anticipate needs and identify creative ways to meaningfully support the work of the Office.
  • Exercise discretion and sound judgment when handling confidential information and matters related to executive-level operations.
  • Proficiency with graphic design tools such as Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Proficiency in website management and content updates.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Exercises sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential or sensitive information. 
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred but not required.
