We offer freshly prepared food made from local ingredients when possible, draft beer from Broken Tooth Brewing, wine, and margaritas. Or experience the Bear Tooth without the movie by making yourself comfortable in our cafe-style dining area. The Bear Tooth Grill offers food fresh off the grill- such as Alaskan seafood, burgers, and southwestern inspired dishes. Open for brunch, lunch and dinner, the Grill also boasts a full-service bar, where you can choose from over 90 different choices in tequila, as well as a wide variety of award-winning craft beverages and cocktails. At Broken Tooth Brewing, variety is the name of the game and the brewers do not disappoint: in 2016 alone, they made 73 different craft beers! The brewery is truly the backbone of our businesses, serving up the liquid gold that keeps the people comin'.

JOB SUMMARY

Join our team as a Cashier and become a key player in providing exceptional customer service both in-person and over the phone. As a Cashier, your precision and effective communication skills will create a warm and welcoming atmosphere for all our guests. Be a part of our vibrant team and make a difference with every interaction!


We are looking for candidates with weekend availability, prior experience, fast learning ability, ability to work well under pressure, and good teamwork skills.


Must be 21+, weekends are required. Open availability is preferred.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Adhere to all safety, sanitation, and alcohol beverage control policies
  2. Extensive knowledge of the food, drink, and specials menus
  3. Accurately take, ring in, and serve orders to the customers’ specifications
  4. Able to use the POS systems with efficiency
  5. Ensure guest satisfaction with products and services
  6. Conduct all monetary transactions with attention to detail
  7. Handle, store, date, and rotate all products properly
  8. Promptly report equipment and food quality issues to a manager
  9. Communicate clearly and professionally with all persons in the restaurant
  10. Complete all opening, closing, and side duties
  11. Work as a team with your fellow co-workers and treat each other with kindness and respect

Requirements

Qualifications

Must be 21 years of age or older with a current TAPS Card and Municipality of Anchorage Food Worker Card. Previous serving or bartending experience is preferred but not required.

Skills, Abilities & Work Conditions

  1. Stand for the duration of the shift with minimal breaks
  2. Work in noisy, fast-paced environments with distracting conditions
  3. Lift and carry 30+ lbs
  4. Have good manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
  5. Bend, reach, stoop, and move quickly
  6. Work in close proximity to coworkers in a fast-paced environment
  7. Self-motivation and the ability to manage time and accomplish tasks with accuracy and efficiency
  8. Basic knowledge of alcoholic beverage terminology
