As an Outreach Coordinator, you will help cultivate a culture where serving people becomes the catalyst to develop leaders and impact our community. Whether organizing logistics for a food warehouse, mobilizing volunteer teams for mass distribution events, or stepping behind prison walls with the Gospel, this role exists to turn Christ's love into practical action that transforms lives for generations. 

An ideal candidate is someone who loves the local church, wants to bring energy, excellence, and leadership to its people and has a heart for the city of Memphis. They must enjoy connecting with others, be strong administratively and can follow through with details and processes.

What You Will Do*:

• Recruit, lead and develop volunteers to serve with passion and consistency for all Outreach programs, ensuring everyone understands how their role aligns with our vision

• Own the details - from scheduling and trainings to supply management and preparing spaces - you champion every step of the Feed Memphis dynamic

• Plan, coordinate, and execute FeedMemphis events, creating a warm, dignified, and seamless experience for every guest

• Manage the Outreach warehouse with excellence, including inventory, safety, organization and cleanliness

• Oversee food intake operations, including partner pickups, transport, and warehousing

• Work alongside the Outreach Director to maintain and expand partnerships with school districts

• Implement an online client-choice food platform to streamline real-time inventory, track expirations, and elevate service excellence

• Create and maintain relationships with grocery chains and food banks to build a reliable food supply network for our Outreach distributions

• Coordinate logistics, team schedules, and volunteer clearance for prison ministry efforts

• Manage the planning, scheduling, and operational readiness for all Outreach vehicles

• This position involves rigorous physical labor in both indoor warehouse and outdoor climate conditions. The employee must possess the physical capacity to stand for extended periods, perform repetitive lifting up to 50 lbs, safely operate material handling equipment, and load/unload vehicles. A valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record are required.

• Requires the physical capacity and coordination to operate a forklift, pallet jack, and other warehouse equipment

• Availability for Sunday services, weekly office hours, occasional evenings and special events
