Mercedes-Benz of Tacoma is hiring an experienced Sprinter Technician to service Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans, including both diesel- and gas-powered vehicles. Compensation
$66,000–$150,000 annually
This is a flat-rate technician position. The compensation range listed above is based on actual earnings of current and former employees who have worked in this position and reflects the range Larson Automotive Group reasonably expects for this role.
Actual earnings vary based on experience, skill level, certifications, productivity, hours worked, available repair work, and other job-related factors.
Additional compensation opportunities may include:
- Performance and productivity incentives, when applicable
- Lead Technician bonuses for employees who qualify for designated lead responsibilities
- A temporary hourly guarantee for up to the first 90 days may be available based on experience, qualifications, and business needs
Specific compensation terms will be discussed with qualified candidates and documented as applicable.

What You'll Do
- Diagnose, maintain, and repair Mercedes-Benz Sprinter vans, including diesel- and gas-powered vehicles
- Perform manufacturer-recommended maintenance and services
- Complete mechanical, electrical, drivability, engine, and diagnostic repairs
- Use diagnostic equipment to accurately identify vehicle concerns
- Inspect vehicles and clearly document findings and repair recommendations
- Perform repairs according to Mercedes-Benz procedures and quality standards
- Work closely with service advisors and the parts department to support efficient repair completion
- Maintain accurate repair documentation
- Move and road-test customer vehicles as necessary to diagnose concerns and verify completed repairs
- Follow dealership, manufacturer, and workplace safety procedures

Requirements
What We're Looking For
- At least 1 year of automotive repair experience
- Strong automotive mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Experience as an Automotive Technician, Diesel Technician, Sprinter Technician, Mercedes-Benz Technician, or European Vehicle Technician preferred
- Mercedes-Benz, Sprinter, diesel, or European vehicle experience preferred, but not required
- ASE certifications preferred
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a flat-rate environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing
- Commitment to quality workmanship and customer service
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation
Driver's License & Pre-Employment Requirements
A valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required because driving is an essential function of this position. Technicians must be able to move and road-test customer vehicles as part of diagnosis, repair, and quality-control procedures.
Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of applicable pre-employment screening, including a background check, driving-record review, and drug screening, consistent with applicable federal, Washington State, and local law.
